Local Church Reaches Out in a Time of Devastation  

 

The Abundant Life Christian Center staff is offering hope and tangible needed food and water in this time of need after the destruction of Hurricane Ike.

"In times of personal stress and loss we search for answers to aid our healing", states Jennifer Hallam. "As Christians, our first step is Jesus Christ. Right now the Body of Christ needs that reserved strength only God can give. How does the restoration begin? The answer is simple and laced with compassion. God has called us to bear up each others arms like Aaron and Hur did for Moses. He has given us a shelter of hope like Noah's ark. He leads us down the road of the beaten and broken so we have the opportunity to be a good Samaritan. At Abundant Life we are doing these things and following God's voice to help those suffering great loss in the surrounding communities. We are reaching out in the midst of our own recovery. We stand on the rainbow of promises from God's Word. 1 Samuel 30:8 gives us the assurance that as children of the most high we can pursue, overtake, and without fail recover all. Our prayer is that you receive increase as you reach out in faith. What the enemy means for evil, God always turns around for good."
